Michelle Hansen is the Residence Hall Director for Littell Hall at SUNY Oneonta. Michelle joined the reslife team here in 2013 but before that worked as a Coordinator of Residence Education for five years at Roger Williams University (located in Rhode Island). Before starting the path in residence life Michelle received her Bachelor’s from Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts in 2008, and actually grew up in Oneonta NY.
Michelle enjoys working with students in their first year at Oneonta because that’s the year that they learn all about college life and it’s very rewarding. When not working with students, Michelle really enjoys walking her family’s dogs and adventuring all over the US. Michelle also enjoys catching Giants and Syracuse basketball games when they are in season.
About This HALL
Sherman Hall is a quad-style community, where it houses 200 upper division students. Located in the center of campus, Sherman Hall is one of the most convenient residence halls on campus, as it near classes and dining facilities on-campus. Sherman offers 4-person quads, 2-person doubles, and the option for students’ to participate in the Individual Room Program. Sherman Hall is a phenomenal place to make friends and build a strong community, as this community offers community style restrooms for residents to establish on-going connections with peers. Each space comes furnished with a twin size bed, a desk, and chairs for students convenience. Sherman Hall also has a main lounge, which includes: a pool table, foosball table, and large screen television. Sherman Hall also provides students with the ability to prep their own lunches and dinners in the kitchen located on the ground level. The kitchen comes with a full stove, a sink, and cooking utensils for all students to use. Located on the first floor, Sherman offers gender neutral restrooms. This facility also offers a limited amount of safe space rooms within the student residence. Bathrooms are cleaned and stocked by custodial staff Monday through Friday. Sherman accommodates its students by offering a fitness and recreation spaces located on the lower-level, which is available 24-hours a day and 7 days a week.
