Drew Spriggs is currently the Residence Hall Director of Ford Hall and is within his third year of working in SUNY Oneonta. Originally from the Reisterstown Historic District (about 30 minutes northwest of Baltimore), Drew graduated from Mount St. Mary’s University in Emmitsburg, MD with a B.A. in Communication Studies. While there, Drew held multiple leadership roles, and after May 2012, he traveled all the way to Indiana State University to pursue a M.S. in Student Affairs and Higher Education. While there, he worked as an Assistant Hall Director.
Drew enjoys working as an RD for SUNY Oneonta because he could still use opportunities to mentor people on interpersonal communications, topics surrounding diversity, and social justice. Outside of work, Drew holds an officer position for the Knights of Columbus in Sidney, NY. He also likes to blog, write short stories, go to Chase Gym, play long games of chess, and on Friday nights he goes to Holiday Lanes to bowl several games exceeding 200.
About This HALL
Ford Hall is a quad style building located within the geographic center of SUNY Oneonta. It houses roughly 200 students comprised of mostly sophomores, juniors, a few graduating seniors and a few transfer students. Ford Hall has quite a few amenities that students can enjoy. There is a game lounge equipped with three table games and a flat screen TV. In the center of the ground floor, there is a computer lounge, cardio room, kitchen, and study space.
Depending on the semester, the Outdoor Adventure Club opens up a horizontal rock wall open to all students. Due to Ford Hall being close to the center of campus, students who choose to live there have the convenience of being very close to the bus stop, Milne Library, academic buildings, Mills and Wilsbach Dining Hall(s) and much more.
