What forms of transportation are available
on and off campus?
The student activity fee you pay supports a bus service which runs
through campus and downtown every half hour. Service begins at 7AM and
ends at between 12:30 - 1:30AM on weekdays. The schedule varies on weekends; the Student
Association Office has schedules.
Oneonta Bus Lines charters buses to New York City and Long Island during
student holiday and vacation time periods. Call (607) 432-4040 for the
schedule.
Greyhound Bus Lines (607) 432-0505/ 800-231-2222, or
Trailways
(607) 432-2661/ 800-858-8555 also provide transportation to and from
Oneonta.
After dark, students may contact University Police for an on-campus
escort from one location to another. There are also "Blue Light" phones
conveniently located around campus for everyone's use in case of an
emergency. The "Blue Light" phones are restricted to emergency use only
and are directly linked to University Police.
Can I have a car on campus?
A resident student must have 57 or more credit hours or be a transfer
student with an Associate Degree to register a car on campus. If you
have a concern or a problem, call University Police at (607) 436-2644.
How much does laundry cost?
No quarters are necessary for washing or drying laundry. The cost is
included in room rental fees and limited to individual use based on
residence hall occupation.
Are telephone services provided?
Basic telephone service is provided in each bedroom on campus at no
extra cost. Each student can apply for an Authorization Code from the
Office of Telecommunications. This code may be used for calling long
distance. However, only directory assistance and international calls
will be billed directly to you. All domestic long distance calls are
free. In
all instances, modular arrangements exist; therefore, you will need to
supply your own telephone instrument.
How do I access the SUNY Oneonta
Internet
connection?
Each bedroom has one Ethernet connection per student and each room
has wireless access. All
residence halls have computer labs, and computer labs are located in
various academic buildings campus wide.

Are cooking facilities available?
Snack preparation areas are available in all buildings which include
microwaves and sinks. Double-style buildings (with the exception of
Hulbert Hall) and Higgins Hall have kitchens with ovens.

Where are the bathrooms located
in my residence hall?
In the doubles and quads bathrooms are located in the corridor (shared
by the residents of the floor). In the suites and apartments bathrooms are
shared among suitemates and apartmentmates. All bathrooms are same-gender
only.
