Recruitment Events for AALANA students?
The Office of Multicultural Student Affairs actively supports the Office of Admissions in their recruitment efforts to diversify the college campus. The College offers two events per year to assist AALANA students from the NYC area in both visiting and experiencing the college campus. These are in addition to Open Houses, recruiter high school visits, campus tours, and other Admissions events.
AALANA Spend the Night Program- Come visit the College at Oneonta by hopping on a free bus from NYC to the campus. Meet your host and spend the night in the residence halls with current AALANA students. See what living in a residence hall is all about and meet representatives from the major clubs and organizations on campus such as the Student of Color Coalition, Hispanic Organization for Learning and Advancement, Open Minded Unity, to name just a few. We also invite coaches from the Athletic Department and various other departments to participate in an evening of events! This program is usually linked to a general College Open House to maximize your time here.
The fall semester Spend the Night Program is for prospective AALANA students from the NYC area, spring semester AALANA Bus Trip is for new students who have applied and been admitted. Some requirements apply, please contact the Admissions Office and ask to speak to the Multicultural Recruiter for more information. 1-800- SUNY-123
