The Office of Student Diversity and Advocacys' role is to ask the hard questions about prejudice and stereotyping to all students and to help facilitate a campus environment which values all its members as they pursue their education at College at Oneonta.

The Office provides support for the college campus in numerous ways such as offering diversity trainings. Regular training sessions are offered to campus leaders such as Resident Advisors, Academic Team Members, and student organizations in the area of diversity awareness and sensitivity, multicultural education, interrupting bias in the residence halls, and stereotyping in the residence halls to name just a few.

Faculty and staff trainings include all of the above as well as other related themes such as Diversity Customer Service Skills, Cultural Competence, Diversity in the Workplace, Valuing and Managing Diversity, Intercultural Communication, and Infusing Diversity in the Curriculum
