Traditions - An esprit de corps among faculty, staff, and students

"Traditions are a significant part of the college experience. At their best, they celebrate life, recognize individual or group achievement, and contribute to the development of a distinct campus identity. It is for these reasons that the Student Life Committee decided to continue to investigate, sample, and prepare a compilation of current campus traditions within the SUNY Family." - from the original Traditions - An esprit de corps among faculty, staff, and students (2008).

The following is a continuation of the work begun by the University Faculty Senate Student Life Committee in 2007. The original document entitled "Traditions - An esprit de corps among faculty, staff, and students" was published in 2008. A pdf file of that document is available here.

Traditions were solicited from throughout the system. The committee reviewed the submissions and chose, for inclusion, those that represent diversity in topics and in schools. As with the original Traditions, we sorted campus submissions into four categories. Please select the links for the categories below to view the campus traditions.
