Below is the list of leadership positions within the SA. Students will receive emails during recruitment drives to let them know how to apply.

Executive Board

The Executive Board of the Student Association is composed of five officers who are chosen to ensure that the day to day work of the association is in order and shall be advocating for what students feel is important at the college at all times. Each Executive Board position is voted in by the student body. The Executive Board is comprised of the President, Vice President, Treasurer, Vice President of Central Affairs, and the Vice President of Internal Services.

President - The President oversees the Student Association government by making sure that the Executive Branch is on task and helping to formulate what projects the Student Association will take on. The President is also the primary liaison for the Student Association to faculty, staff, and the administration of the College. The President deals with general avocation for the student body. He or she has the power to veto a vote of Senate, and is responsible for the treasurer's duty is his or her absence. The President chairs the Executive Committee (all directors and executive board members).

Executive Vice President - The Executive Vice President oversees the five Student Association Directors by aiding when needed and making sure they stay on task. They also look over the external representation of the Student Association on college-wide committees and work closely with the Student Association Senate (plan meetings, presiding over meetings, etc.) The Executive Vice President also chairs the elections committee.

Vice President of Finance- The Vice President of finance deals with all financial aspects of the Student Association. He/she chairs the finance board which handles special allocations and is co-chair of the budget committee at the end of the academic year. The Vice President of Finance must approve all money that is taken out of club accounts and x-accounts.

Vice President of Central Affairs
- The Vice President of Central Affairs' main concern is to be a liaison to all clubs of the Student Association and all clubs trying to be recognized by the Student Association. This individual shall do this by being able to explain Campus Connection, Budget procedures, van policies, and any other SA policy that may be needed by clubs. In addition, this individual will make sure the SA has an accurate list of club contact information and look for concerns on how the SA can better meet clubs needs.

Vice President of Activities - The Vice President of Activities acts as the chair and presides over all meetings of the Student Association Activities Council. He/she is responsible for being in close contact with both the Student Association President and the college’s Director of Campus Activities in regard to council activities and contracts. He/she must also report on the current affairs of the committee at each Student Association Senate meeting and meet with the committee chairs of the Activities Board on a regular basis. The committee is responsible for putting on free events for student leisure throughout the year.


Chief Justice

–The Chief Justice is the chief officer of the Student Association Supreme Court. The Chief Justice must attend all Senate meetings and shall preside over cases of the Student Association Judiciary. These cases may include but are not limited to ambiguity in the Constitution, grievances against the Student Association, election disputes, impeachment/removal of an officer, and disputes between clubs.

 

Directors

The directors are senators with voting rights that also have space in the Student Association office to work on their various projects. Each are chairs of committees made up primarily of other senators on the task of their namesake. Directors are voted into the senate by the student body. After this, they are then voted into their position as a director by the senate before summer break in the spring semester.

Director of College Operations - The Director of College Operations looks for ways to improve the campus for students in regards to academics, diversity, campus structure, etc. They will be an advisory board that makes recommendations to the college based on the fundamental operations.

Director of Campus Services - The Director of Campus Services looks for ways to improve Auxiliary Services on this campus (dining, laundry, bookstore, etc), and possibly look at what services need to be created for students. They will work closely with OAS and the Hunt Union.

Director of External Affairs - The Director of External Affairs will be working to get the Student Association at Oneonta more involved with the Student Assembly of SUNY. It will be an avocation committee for student rights on a state and national level. In addition, it will also look to strengthen student activity and increase voting awareness.

Director of Communications & Public Relations -
The Director of Communications & Public Relations shall act as the public relations agent of the Student Association. They will be looking to publicize for the Student Association and serve as a liaison to the local community.

Director of Pride & Tradition -
The Director of Pride & Tradition shall work on projects to help build the moral of the Student body.
