Dean T McGowan, President
Office Hours: TBD

Email Dean
My name is Dean McGowan and I am a Senior at SUNY Oneonta. I am majoring in Communications with a minor in sociology and try to spend a lot of my free time doing different activities around campus. Some of my campus experience has included working in admissions, for orientation, being a resident advisor, being on the OAS Board of Directors, and being in our ultimate club and Mask and Hammer. I would like to take this opportunity to let everyone know that the most important thing to me as Student Association President is making sure that as many students as possible are happy, and that students are fairly represented to the college, faculty, and administration. Since this is important to me and the rest of the Executive Board/Student Senate we really encourage you to get involved. Let us know of any problems you have while you are at Oneonta, and allow us to help you take the initiative in fixing it. Also, in the next four years try and have as much fun as you can, time flies.

Edward Hyde Clarke, Executive Vice-President

Hi my name is Edward Hyde Clarke and I am the Executive Vice President of the Student Association. I am a Junior and this is my second year being involved with the Student Association. After being elected as a Senator, I was appointed to the position of Assistant Treasurer last January. I am very involved on campus, with such organizations as the Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity, Omicron Delta Kappa, Order of Omega, Pi Sigma Alpha, College Senate, and intramural's. I believe that college is what you make it and I think it is important that everyone finds something that they enjoy and want to be involved in. The Student Association not only offers over 80 clubs, but you can also become involved in the student government portion of it. Oneonta State is an ideal size college, which allows everyone to get involved some how on campus. As the Executive Vice President, I plan to maximize the productivity of our Senate and ensure that student voice is being heard on campus. The Student Association Senators are there to represent everyone on campus, so get active and voice your opinion to them. You do not have to be a Senator to be active with the SA, and if your interested in any type of involvement, please do not hesitate to contact me today.

Since last year was my first here at the SUNY College at Oneonta, I've been involved from the very start. Last year, I was a Student Association Senator, a OAS Board member, the Finance Chair for the World's Largest Soccer Game and a member of the Philosophy club. On top of that, I was in quite a few committees including: OAS committee, OAS Finance committee, College Camp Advisory committee, Elections committee, Steering committee, the Constitution and Policy Book committee, and others. I plan to make this year better than last year! I love to listen to student's voices and put their opinions together to make a difference in this college. Don't hesitate to get in touch with me or just stop me whenever you see me, I'll always make time for every student because that's why we're here. SUNY College at Oneonta is my favorite place to be and I want it to be the best for every student, on and off campus.

Megan Cleary, Director of Pride and Tradition Chair
Office Hours: TBD
MegMy name is Meg Cleary and I'm the Director of Pride & Tradition. This is the first year that this position has existed and I plan to work on several projects to promote school spirit, institute some new traditions and restore SA history. I am a senior and this is my second year on the senate. My involvement in SA has impacted my life in many ways including making connections with college staff and meeting amazing new friends. I am majoring in English and my goal is to be successful in career doing what I love. Reading and writing are my absolute favorite things to do. I've been told that my major isn't very practical but I am following my dream and graduating with a degree in something I enjoy. I plan on going to grad school for creative writing but possibly taking a break after graduation to travel and not think about school work. College has been the three best years of my life thus far. I absolutely love Oneonta, the environment of the college and the wonderful people who make it the community it is. My goals for this year are to revive the history of the SA by connecting with alumni involved in SA, revitalize our athletic fan base, follow in our former SA President's footsteps by continuing the Red Day tradition and planning a spring event of last year's WLSG size, and create an Pride and Tradition section for the Oneonta website. I hope through these projects, I will be able to strengthen and encourage Oneonta pride among all of its students.
