The Committee on College Operations looks for ways to improve the campus for students in regards to academics, diversity, campus structure, etc. They will be an advisory board that makes recommendations to the college based on the fundamental operations.
Committee on Campus Services
Chair: Director Jaimie Ravit
The Committee on Campus Services looks for ways to improve Auxiliary Services on this campus (dining, laundry, bookstore, etc), and possibly look at what services need to be created for students. They will work closely with OAS and the Hunt Union.
Committee on External Affairs
Chair: Director John Myron
The Committee on External Affairs will be working to get the Student Association at Oneonta more involved with the Student Assembly of SUNY. It will be an avocation committee for student rights on a state and national level. In addition, it will also look to strengthen student activity and increase voting awareness.
Committee on Communications and Public Relations
Chair: Director Kainat Malik
The Committee on Communications & Public Relations shall act as the public relations agent of the Student Association. They will be looking to publicize for the Student Association and serve as a liaison to the local community.
Committee on Pride and Tradition
Chair: Director Sam Zinke
The Committee on Pride & Tradition shall work on projects to help build the moral of the Student body and advise the college on how to do the same. They are also to act as a historian for the Student Association government.
Committee on Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
Chair: M.S.C. Liason Presley Mena
The Committee on Diversity, Equity & Inclusion will work to promote unity and tolerance on campus. This includes working with the several College offices who share this mission as well as acting as a resource to students who feel they have been discriminated against, hosting events to promote acceptance and appreciation, and publish and distribute literature regarding students' rights.
Elections Committee
Chair: Executive V.P. Jillian Vell
The Elections Committee will facilitate elections from beginning to end. This includes advertising for positions, checking petitions, validating candidates, looking into different ways of running elections, and holding the elections/checking the results.
Scholarship Committee
Chair: Executive V.P. Jillian Vell
The Committee will facilitate giving scholarships to students from beginning to end. This includes advertising for and choosing scholarship winners.
Finance Board
Chair: V.P. of Finance Colleen Clark
The Finance Board will make recommendations to the Student Association Senate about how much special allocation should be given to clubs when requested. This board also does budgeting for the following year in the Spring semester.
Central Affairs Committee
Chair: V.P. of Central Affairs Jennifer Sanderson
The Central Affairs Committee shall aid clubs in any way possible to help make their experiences easier and help create better relationships between the Student Association and clubs. This committee will also facilitate the new club recognition process.
Student Association Activities Council (SAAC)
Chair: V.P. of Activities MaryBeth Carswell
The Student Association Activities Council shall develop student activities and co-curricular programming that meets the needs of the college community. Programming areas include performing arts, special events, concerts, comedy, films, lectures, multi-cultural, and late-night.
