SUNY Oneonta supports the leadership efforts of its students. This support includes several outstanding events as a part of a comprehensive co-curricular leadership program.
The Harvey Delaney Leadership Institute is held every spring during a weekend in March. Students attend sessions about a variety of leadership topics. Alumni, community members, and professional speakers lead the workshops.
Emerging Leaders is a leadership development program targeted for first and second year students. It offers a wide variety sessions to help students gain a better understanding of themselves as student leaders. Emerging Leaders is held every fall semester.
iROAR & ULead are events geared towards specific students. iROAR is a freshmen leadership day for new first year students. ULead is for any student interested in increasing their knowledge on leadership and social justice.
Leaders Lunches are informal leadership sessions offered throughout the year. Students can attend one or all of these useful presentations.
LEAD@Oneonta is also a large aspect of SUNY Oneonta's leadership program. LEAD@Oneonta is for all students, encouraging them to attend educational events and to get involved in clubs/organizations.
