Welcome to SUNY Oneonta Recognized Greek Life!
SUNY Oneonta fully recognizes seven sororities and three fraternities. There is one fraternity and one sorority currently seeking College Recognition. Whether you are a student, parent, or if you are already a member of a greek organization here on campus, there is something for you.
All recognized Greek Letter Organizations are required by the College to abide by the Code of Rights and Responsibilities for Greek Social Letter Organizations. All of these organizations are supported by the Inter-Greek Council.
The Inter-Greek Council is run by an elected board of students as well as one
representative from each on-campus group. All recognized fraternities and sororities have at least one faculty advisor.

Greeks of the Month for February 2012

Curtis Frederick- Phi Beta Sigma
We believe that Curtis Frederick deserves to be Greek of the Month because he is active both on campus and within the community and serves a role model to the student body. Serving as Vice President of his chapter, he works hard to accomplish tasks and ensure the success of his chapter. Just this month, he served as Dean for Phi Beta Sigma’s Epsilon line, bringing a new member into their organization. Curtis is also a dedicated student and maintains a high GPA as academic excellence is one of his most important values. He is aiming to attend medical school after graduating this semester, and we believe he will definitely succeed in anything he sets his mind to.

Anthony Carlson- Chi Phi
Anthony has worked very hard this month. He has spent a lot of time planning Greek Week, which is going to be a huge success. Much effort has been put on by his part to manage his time between Chi Phi president and IGC Vice President, also while maintaining a perfect 4.0 GPA. Anthony has done much to help improve his own chapter, while also doing a lot to help all Greek Life at Oneonta.
