The Living Center
Upon entering a living center, students are faced with many responsibilities and experiences that can broaden and make more meaningful the total college experience.

To live successfully with a variety of individuals, students must respect the rights, beliefs, and property of those around them. They must develop ac-ceptance of a variety of backgrounds, behavior, and interests. It is important that they are genuinely concerned with those around them, while respecting the rights of individual privacy.
Students must assume responsibility for their behavior and be willing to share the responsibility for the actions of their total group. It is necessary that students cooperate with and contribute to their group. At times, it may be necessary for them to sacrifice their personal pleasure, both for their own benefit and for the benefit of those living in and sharing the same situation.
The natural groups that may form also have an obligation to their members. They must maintain standards that are flexible enough to incorporate all the individuals they contain. They must be constantly evaluating themselves to ensure quality of opportunity for all their members.
