College Housing
It is the student’s responsibility to initiate and follow through the procedures necessary to secure housing both on and off-campus. All students must register housing intentions with the Housing Office before registration. “Every student in full time attendance at a State operated unit of the Univer-sity, other than married students or students residing with a parent or par-ents, shall be required either to live in a residence hall maintained and operated by such unit or to have permission under such provisions as may be made therefore by the chief administrative officer of such unit to live off campus” (Board of Trustees policy).

The Residence Hall License (see Appendix B) clearly states the formal agreement between the student and the College to uphold and enforce College policies and state and federal laws. Before occupying a residence hall room, the student signs this agreement, in which he/she states unequivocally, “I do hereby acknowledge that I have read and understand the Residence Hall License” and “I agree to abide by the contents.”
