The Student Association (S.A.)

The Student Association offers over 70 clubs and organizations for students to get involved in. The clubs are available for freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors to join. In the beginning of each semester there is an Exposition where each club will have a table with information about their club. Students can use this opportunity to see all the offered clubs and join.

Student Government
The Student Association is run by a democratically elected student government structure including an executive board, a senate and a supreme court.

The E-board consists of a President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Assistant Treasurer. Their offices are located on
the ground floor of the Hunt Union. The entire student body elects these positions in April.

Senate elections are held in September of the first semester. These positions are open to all SA fee paying students. There is one “on-campus” senator elected for every 200 students living on campus and one “off campus” senator elected for every 200 students living downtown. In addition the entire student body elects 10 “at large” senators. All senators have the same rights. The senate is responsible for examining all concerns both social and academic, examining and approving the budgets, and handling issues brought up by the students on this campus.

Constitution
The Student Association Constitution is the framework on which the S.A. is built. The document contains several key sections. The first few sections deal with membership, and the rights and responsibilities of the executive and legislative bodies. The Constitution further speaks to the powers of the judicial branch.
The final section addresses the issues of elections, referendums, amendments, and dissolution to and of the Student Association Constitution. Copies of the Constitution are available upon request from the Student Association Office.
