The mission of SUNY Pride is to unite SUNY campuses to create a more inclusive environment for the SUNY system as a whole. Through education, collaboration, networking, and inclusivity, SUNY Pride will encourage students, faculty and staff to become au courant with the policies, facilities, accessibilities, and trainings of other institutions within the SUNY system.   This year, the conference will have a specific focus on developing student leadership within diverse gender and sexuality communities. We are seeking the broadest possible representation from the SUNY system in order to develop leadership skills among with diverse sexual and gender identities.

To assess the needs of sexual and gender communities within the SUNY system, we also invite you to complete the Campus Pride Index via the Campus Pride Website.  Collecting data on marginalized communities can offer the first step to addressing these issues throughout the SUNY system.   Please also take note of some exciting changes to impact the SUNY system around gender identity and sexual orientation, covered here by the Chronicle of Higher Education.
