Parent/Guardian To-Do List BEFORE Move-In Day

*Make sure your student is registered for an Orientation session- either a session in July or the August session.

*Talk to your student about your expectations about their academic performance and their behavior.

*Teach them how to do their laundry (you'd be surprised).

*Teach them about managing finances.

*Be ready for Move-in Day on August 22, 2010. It is a busy day and sometimes an emotional one also.

*Don't judge your student's roommate based on their Facebook/MySpace profile- sometimes it is a pose...

*Start thinking about what the rules will be when they come home on breaks!
