First Year Seminar

The First Year Seminar is a collabortive effort between Academic Affairs and the First Year Experience and Orientation Office. The Seminar is a one credit class that is taught by a full-time faculty member. Each class is also assigned a Very Influential Peer (Peer Educator). These Seminars are designed to assist new freshmen in making the transition, both academically and socially, to the College. The faculty and peer educators who teach the class understand that there are many factors that influence success at College and will discuss many of these issues during the seminar. If you have questions regarding the seminar, please feel free to contact Dr. Theresa Russo, Lead Faculty for the First Year Seminar at russot@oneonta.edu.
