Congratulations on making the College at Oneonta the destination for your academic future. In order to make that future a reality, all new students are required to attend an orientation session before they begin attending classes. For students entering the College for the Spring 2009 semester, Orientation will be held January 11-13, 2009. Information about that session will be posted in November.
For students planning to start Fall 2009, we offer sessions for freshmen and transfer in July and one session right before classes begin in August. Information on dates and majors, as well as information on how to enroll in a session will be posted in late April 2009. For our new students, it doesn't matter which session you are able to attend. You will receive the same information and appropriate advisement at all sessions.
The July sessions, for both freshmen and transfers, offers parents and guardians an opportunity to learn about the college expereince from College experts. Parents and Guardians have a specially designed and separate orientation schedule.
