Besides presenting six plays each school year:
two faculty directed shows, including the Spring Musical
and two student-directed shows ...

WE HAVE FUN!!!

*fun events are not SA funded*

THE GETTING TO KNOW YOU PARTY

Every Fall we kick off the semester right, with our
annual getting to know you party!  A good time in
a relaxed environment where new students are welcomed
into our club and our lives!  Great friendships are forged
right from the very beginning!!!

THE WELCOME BACK PICNIC

And then we do it again (sometimes even in the same weekend).
A family-friendly welcome back picnic in the park.
Students, faculty, family and friends "cook" it up right to
welcome in the new school year and the fun ahead!!!

CAMPING TRIP

Sometimes it happens and sometimes it doesn't ...
sometimes it is official and sometimes it is not,
but the camping trip is always a good time!!!

HALLOWEEN

Okay, so you can think of ANYBODY that would be better
at celebrating the time of makeup and costumes than theatre folk?
Halloween is always a BASH with Mask & Hammer, and always
a challenge to make sure you don't have a totally lame costume!

THE SNOWFLAKE

Years ago, SUCO used to have a "Snow Ball" for the entire campus, but that tradition didn't continue.
Mask & Hammer created a tradition of their own with their annual, slightly smaller but
nonetheless spectacular, Snowflake semi-formal.  A time to dress up and close out the
semester, say goodbye for now, and dance the night away!  And eat, of course, we forgot
to mention that Mask & Hammer people LOVE to eat!!!

MIDNIGHT MADNESS

The chance you were looking for to perform your favorite song, skit, comedy act, or
funky talent you've been hiding away. Held at MIDNIGHT near the end of each semester, anyone from
SUCO or anywhere else can perform. Some of our favorite Mask & Hammer folk will
host the madness.  Funny, entertaining ... madness, I tell you, simple madness.

MASK & HAMMER END OF YEAR DINNER

Remember how we told you that Mask & Hammer people love to eat.
Well, that is why we get together and have a nice dinner at the end of
the Spring semester.  Dress up, get together, and eat good food.  Sound good?

THE TEDDY AWARDS

And the Teddy goes to ...
Our version of the Tony Awards, Teddy awards are given in categories such as:
techie of the year, diva of the year, best show, best actor/actress, and much more.
Also our time to say farewell to our seniors with their own spotlights.  Formal wear is
required even though we don't roll out a red carpet. See
last year's Teddy Award winners.

THE BLOWOUT

Our end of the year BBQ is everyone's favorite.  We carpool out to Gilbert Lake,
hang out, tan, eat, play basketball, and it's when you realize how dedicated we
are to our Mask & Hammer friendships (by everybody stopping everything to search
the lake for as long as it takes to find a lost earring) ... but how, you ask, did somebody
lose an earring in the lake???  There's a little tradition of throwing people in the lake that
I should probably mention.  It used to be just the seniors, but it seems nobody is safe!!!

CAST PARTIES

Every good show (and they are all good, of course) deserves a good cast party!
After the run, and the striking of the set ... we gather and celebrate the end
of another successful run like all good theatre people should!!!

Strikes

Anyone can lend a helping hand at strikes!

It's a learning experience for all with hands on jobs and even some laughter!

WE PRIDE OURSELVES ON HAVING A GOOD TIME ALWAYS ...
SO COME JOIN THE FUN!!!
