Oneonta State Gamer's Guild

Welcome to the Gamer's Guild Webpage

At any given meeting there may be anything from Warhammer and other miniature games (like Gundam? The professor has this amazing game he got at a con...) to strategy boardgames (Axis and Allies, Risk, etc) to card games (not just collectable).  The guild is also involved in the community. This year a Spades tournament for charity.

And of course the RPGs. I myself have participated in Feng Shui, Mutants & Masterminds, and hope to participate in All Flesh Must Be Eaten. But that is far from all! White Wolf games, D&D and other d20 games, Call of Cthulhu, and more have been played or will be played by members of the club.

Or you can do what I do. Sometimes I just drop in to hang out with like minded folks, and maybe try something new. Or start a new game to meet somewhere else. Maybe you don't want to play on Mondays or Fridays.

That's just the club! Oneonta has an active community outside of the Guild as well. Across the street from the YMCA downtown is The Bearded Dragon. Oneonta's own game and hobby store.  There is nearly always something going on there.  Magic: The Gathering, Necromunda, the new Lord of The Rings collectable miniatures game just to name a few.

Unclebear.com
Cumberlandgames.com
These are my two favorite RPG sites.  Each is the home to a free RPG, and much more.

Unclebear is updated at least daily with news of new games, reviews, and RPG related geek news.  Yours truly contributes.

Cumberland Games has more material than most of the big name sites, and is updated monthly.
