Resources/Further Reading
|
This is a resource
intended for the beginner foil student. This is in no way intended to
teach you the fine art of foil fencing; it is merely a reference for
those engaged in active study of the discipline, particularly those at
SUNY-Oneonta.
Because of this, the site assumes the student has the benefit of some
kind of instructor. Therefore, instead of going into minute detail
about angles, precise foot placements, and synoptic tables, I have
chosen instead to sketch more of a conceptual framework, to further
train your mind as opposed to your body.
Please make use
of, enjoy, and point out any inaccuracies in the following pages.
A bit of a warning, some of the video clips may take a few to many
seconds to load (depending on your brower). This site is optimized
in Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher.
Menu
to your left.
Have fun.

A parry 3, of sorts.
