The cheerleaders are run and organized by the executive board. Due to the lack of funds, the squad does not have a coach. This E-board is voted on at the end of the season.

A budget is applied for at the beginning of each spring semester granting the squad money for uniforms, practice clothing (such as T-shirts, shorts), to attend competitions, and any supplies/equipment. HOWEVER, there is still substantial fundraising that is required throughout the season to help fund the team.

The Oneonta State Cheerleaders are proud to announce their National Championship win at the Reach the Beach Cheerleading Competition held in Ocean City, MD. The team practiced for 8 monts and in the end their hard workpaid off. For the 2008-2009 season, they plan on attending at least 2 competitions and bring home with them more 1st place trophies.
