	Part-time Job Opportunities
	For students interested in working while attending classes, here are some options:
	ON CAMPUS: Student Temporary Service Many on campus employers advertise part-time employment opportunities which we post on DragonLink. The instructions regarding how to apply for the positions is clearly defined in the "how to apply" section after clicking on a position of interest. NOTE: All on-campus positions for Fall 2012 will be released to DragonLink on August 19, 2012. On-campus positions fill quickly therefore it is crucial to be proactive. Freshmen and Transfer students will receive a DragonLink welcome message with a password and instructions on or before August 15, 2012. Please email nace@oneonta.edu or call the Career Development Center at 607-436-2534 with any questions at that time. Federal Work Study (FWS) This is a need based program and interested students should meet with their Financial Aid Advisor to verify eligibility. All students who have FWS as part of their award package MUST complete online training each year. Students preference request forms can be electronically completed at the end of the mandatory training. Training instructions are emailed to all eligible students after Financial Aid packages are constructed. FWS assignments are assigned on a first-come first-served basis, therefore students should complete the training requirement immediately after they receive electronic FWS training instructions. Students awarded FWS receive an assignment from the Career Development Center. Assignments are based on students requested preference and employment needs of on campus departments. Student assignments will be emailed each semester with an informational letter outlining the process for accepting the position. Students who wish to request to change their FWS placement for Spring semester MUST submit and request to change form prior to winter break in early December. All FWS and Student Temporary students are required to complete employment paperwork each new academic year which starts at the end of August.
	OFF CAMPUS: We receive job vacancies from off campus employers throughout the academic year. Students looking to work off campus may view job postings on DragonLink. The majority of all off-campus positions are located within walking distance or the local bus routes.
