Social Norms Marketing Campaign \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\
The College at Oneonta has been
conducting a social norms marketing campaign to challange students' misperceptions about the drink and drug use habits of their peers. The campaign is designed to provide accurate information about alcohol and drug use by
students, thereby reinforcing healthy norms for behavior related to alcohol and drug use.
The campaign has been developed by the AOD Committee and the Red
Dragon Design Team. As part of the "social
marketing campaign," posters designed to reinforce the more moderate and healthy choices of students are being displayed throughout campus. The message is also being communicated in other media including radio,
TV., classroom and residence hall presentations.
