There are typically
two types of reevaluations. They are:
Course Equivalency:
This is where the student believes the course they transferred in should be equivalent to a
course at Oneonta. A student may have transferred in General Biology I but
it came in as BIOL 10E and the student believes it should be equivalent to
BIOL 100 at Oneonta.
The student needs to take a course description to the Chair of the Biology Department and have
them reevaluate the course for an equivalency.
A transfer credit
reevaluation form (PDF) would be filled out and brought to the Academic
Advisement office for processing. After it is processed the student would
receive a new arrow sheet in the mail.
General Education:
This is where the student believes that a course they transferred to Oneonta should fill one of their
general education requirements. The student needs to fill out a transfer credit reevaluation form (PDF) and bring it to the Academic
Advisement Center with a course description attached. The staff will review
the course and if it is determined to fill a general education requirement
the form will be processed and the student will receive a new arrow sheet in
the mail. |
