Thank you for your interest in the College at Oneonta. Your visit to our website should provide you with a great deal of information to assist you with your college search process. I am in my fourth year here at the College at Oneonta. I previously worked at two small private colleges on Long Island before coming to Oneonta and I truly believe that this institution has something to offer everyone. It is a college of choice and academic commitment. It is an inviting, friendly and beautiful campus. Being in the minority of counselors myself, who did not graduate from Oneonta, I often joke that I wish I had known about Oneonta during my own college search process many years ago. To be perfectly honest, The College at Oneonta of today is an entirely different institution than it was when I was applying to schools. The institution as a whole has strived to achieve greatness, and has become a highly selective institution with great academic standards and is one that I am proud to represent. The college application and decision process is one of the hardest and most important choices that you will be faced with as a young adult. Know that you are not alone. Our Admissions Counselors are here to help you through all aspects of the admissions process. During this confusing, overwhelming, yet very exciting time, remember to ask questions and take advantage of the opportunities that we provide for you through: campus tours, personal interviews, open houses, Saturday sessions, and many more.
