Freshman Admissions Counselor

Hi, I'm Justin and I am currently an Admissions Counselor at the College at Oneonta. I also serve as the Multicultural Recruiter for the College (shameless plug: Please visit our Multicultural Recruitment page!). During the academic year, I conduct outreach and coordinate events for multicultural students, predominately in the downstate region. Examples of these programs include the Fall and Spring NYC AALANA Spend-the-Nights, and On-Site Admissions which takes place in New York City every January. While in the office, I review freshman and EOP applications and provide counseling to many students, parents, high school counselors and more. I'm originally from Brooklyn, NY and I'm a fellow alumnus of the College at Oneonta majoring in Business Economics. I was a member of the Marketing Club and Songwriters' Club and once served on the executive board of both organizations. I also performed at many open mic sessions, poetry slams and wrote creative pieces for our Art and Scope literary magazine and State Times. The college years are ones to cherish - it truly is an exciting, beneficial experience. In making your college decision, the goal should be to find the best place you feel will provide this. In attending Oneonta, I found the ideal institution for me to grow as an individual, academically and socially.
