AP EQUIVALENTS
Any student who has participated in Advanced Placement courses in high school can be considered for receiving college credit. SUNY Oneonta grants transfer credit to students who score a 3 or better on AP examinations. A maximum of 36 semester hours of AP credits are eligible to transfer. Students should have their scores sent directly to SUNY Oneonta by calling College Board:

Key to General Education Requirements at SUNY Oneonta:
N2/NL2 - Natural Sciences – two courses from different subject areas, at least one course must be a science with a lab
M2 - Mathematics – one course
S2 - Social Sciences – two courses from different subject areas
AH2 - Humanities – one course; note: courses for AH2 & AA2 must be from different subject areas
AA2 - Arts – one course
HA2 - American History – one course
HW2 - Western Civilization – one course
HO2 - Other World Civilization – one non-Western civilization course
BC2 - Basic Communication – one introductory Composition course
WS2 - Writing Skills – one advanced Composition course
OS2 - Oral Communication Skills – one course
FL2 - Foreign Language – one course (unless an Education major, then two courses in the same language)
