Division of Student Development

Dr. Miller came to Oneonta in 2000 to serve as Associate Vice President for Student Life.  The programs and offices reporting to her represent a broad range of student activities, services, and opportunities for involvement.  These programs are the Office for Multicultural Student Affairs, Counseling Center, Health Center, Student Disability Services, Hunt College Union & Student Activities, Center for Multicultural Experiences, Gender and Sexuality Resource Center, and Student Judicial Affairs.  She  serves on numerous campus committees. 

A licensed psychologist, Dr. Miller worked as a therapist in private practice and community mental health before moving into higher education 1986.  She was on staff at the counseling center at University of Southern California and then served as director of the counseling center at Whittier College in Los Angeles.  At University of Northern Colorado, she directed the counseling center and the student health center as well as supervising the directors of career services, the women’s resource center, and disability services. 

Dr. Miller earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology at University of Houston, her master’s degree in clinical psychology at Texas Tech University, and her doctorate in clinical psychology at California School of Professional Psychology in San Diego.
