History

ANNY was formed in the summer of 2010 by higher education professionals representing the State University of New York (SUNY), the City University of New York (CUNY) and New York’s private colleges and universities.  The group's primary objective was to create a state-wide network to stimulate dialogue and the exchange of ideas related to assessment across institutions and to provide support and resources to those committed to meaningful assessment of student learning and institutional effectiveness.
