College at Oneonta Foundation
Awards for Excellence
in Student Research and Creative Activity
Description
To recognize and honor high quality independent research and creative activity projects conducted by SUNY Oneonta students with faculty sponsorship, the College at Oneonta Foundation, Inc. (College Foundation) awards prizes for ‘best in show’ student presentations made at the annual Student Research & Creative Activity (SRCA) Day. Award recipients receive monetary fellowships funded by the College Foundation.
Eligibility / Selection Process
Only independent research and creative activity projects are eligible (projects conducted as part of a class or coursework are not eligible). Prior to the SRCA Day showcase, student presenters are nominated for the awards by their faculty sponsors, and finalists are selected by a group of faculty and staff that includes members of the Committee on Research. These finalists present their work to a team of reviewers at the SRCA Day event, and awardees are chosen.
