RESEARCH GRANT PROGRAM
Guidelines / Forms (.doc)
Sample Funded Proposal (.pdf)

SUNY Oneonta provides awards of up to $3,000 per project to support research conducted by faculty or professional staff in all subject areas, defined for the purpose of this program as the systematic investigation into and study of materials and sources in order to establish facts and reach new conclusions. For fiscal year 2013/14, funding above that allocated annually to the Faculty Grant Programs is available for research in any discipline that is related to the local community/region, courtesy of the former Center for Economic & Community Development and in support of the College’s Strategic Plan 2010 and the Power of SUNY’s Vibrant Community “big idea.” If your proposal is applicable, indicate this on the cover page. Funding is not for research to be performed by students, for the completion of a dissertation, creative activity, or work that is being completed under a contract for which payment will be received.

CREATIVE ACTIVITY GRANT PROGRAM
Guidelines / Forms (.doc)
Sample Funded Proposal (.pdf)
In order to enhance the presence of art, literature, music and other creative activity on campus, SUNY Oneonta provides awards of up to $2,000 per project to support new creative work conducted by faculty/professional staff in areas including, but not limited to, creative writing, music, performing arts and visual arts. Original reinterpretations of existing work that represent novel creations will be considered. The creative work must be integral to the applicant’s position at the College, and should represent original contributions to the creative arts. Funding is not for creative work done by students, for the completion of a dissertation, or work that is being completed under a contract for which payment will be received. It does not fund curriculum or course development other than that which inherently occurs as the result of creative work.
