The Caroline and David D'Antonio
Undergraduate Student Travel for Excellence Fund

Through a generous gift from Caroline (class of 1967) and David D’Antonio to the College at Oneonta Foundation, a $25,000 fund has been created to assist undergraduate students with expenses incurred for travel to professional meetings and conferences. Both full- and part-time undergraduate students in any academic discipline are eligible to apply for and receive travel awards. Preference will given to students who are presenting research or creative activity projects conducted with a faculty mentor(s), but this is not a requirement.

A total of $15,000 will be available for travel to conferences held in spring or summer 2012. Students may apply for up to $750. The due date for this first round of applications is Friday, February 17; decisions on these applications will be made no later than February 29. Thereafter, should all funds not be awarded, students may apply on a rolling basis, and awards will be made until this round of funding is depleted. A call for applications to the second round of funding, designated for fall 2012 conference travel, will be announced later this semester.

Travel expenses will be processed through a Research Foundation of SUNY account, fiscally administered by the Office of Sponsored Programs. Travel award recipients will be required to comply with applicable guidelines and policies.
