The Fund for Oneonta

Through The Fund for Oneonta, our community members have the opportunity to make a gift of any size, and together, to make a significant investment in the College at Oneonta.

The Fund for Oneonta demonstrates to the greater community the passionate commitment of our alumni to building a stronger College at Oneonta, and gifts support our ability to enhance the student experience, improve our learning environment and empower our faculty.

The Fund for Oneonta is the primary connection between the College at Oneonta, its graduates, and students’ parents. Through e-mail, mailings and telephone conversations, The Fund for Oneonta performs three main functions: informs the community about new initiatives, updates contact information, and presents appeals for areas of greatest need.

Student employees who call for The Fund for Oneonta inform parents and graduates about what is new in campus development and programs, benefits for alumni, upcoming events, volunteer opportunities, student services, and opportunities available to parents in making our College a college of first choice. Students – Students benefit directly from The Fund for Oneonta through departmental and multi-cultural events, student seminars and campus visits, additional and updated technologies, and increased opportunities to receive scholarship awards. In addition, the student callers employed by The Fund for Oneonta gain valuable work experience, opportunities to hone their communication skills, and a way to help finance their education.

Graduates – The Fund for Oneonta is a key link between the College at Oneonta and its graduates. The Fund for Oneonta informs our alumni about important initiatives, opportunities, and benefits. Opportunities and benefits include Reflections magazine, the online community, and alumni events such as Reunion Weekend, Homecoming and Family Weekend, and other regional alumni gatherings.

Parents – Parents gain because they are connected to their son’s or daughter’s world at our College. The Fund for Oneonta callers inform parents about important dates and new student opportunities. Parents also remain informed about the wide variety of scholarships which are available to students funded at least in part by The Fund for Oneonta gifts.
