The Alumni Annual Fund
          Thanks to the generous support of our alumni, 2006-2007 was a record-breaking year for the College at Oneonta Alumni Annual Fund. For the first time ever, contributions to the fund exceeded one-half million dollars with a total of $503,715.

          Our 19.15% alumni participation rate not only set a College at Oneonta record; it ranked us third in the nation among public colleges in the percentage of alumni who make gifts to their alma mater. In addition, 19.15% maintains our number-one rank among our SUNY peers for the sixth consecutive year. These remarkable accomplishments reflect the truly special bond between alumni and our College.

          On the heels of this record-breaking year, we’ve set our sights on the next two milestones: 20% alumni participation and $600,000 for the Alumni Annual Fund. All gifts from alumni, regardless of size, boost our alumni participation rate and provide our College with needed resources for continuous improvement in academic quality, sustained growth and success, and national recognition.

Your tax deductible gift helps the Alumni Annual Fund…

  • Support scholarships, which enable the College to attract and retain talented students
  • Provide alumni events such as Homecoming and Family Weekend, Reunion Weekend, regional alumni gatherings, as well as our newest tradition “Pass through the Pillars”
  • Produce widely-read publications such as Reflections and Dragon Days, our young alumni newsletter
  • Maintain our rankings. In the past year alone, the College at Oneonta has been ranked in the top tier of colleges nationwide by U.S. News and World Report and Kiplinger’s. This national recognition, based in part upon alumni support, helps make a degree from the College at Oneonta more prestigious and ultimately more marketable.
