One of four divisions at SUNY Oneonta, the Division of College Advancement develops relationships and secures resources that enable SUNY Oneonta to achieve its vision and mission. We do this by engaging current and retired faculty and staff, alumni, students, corporations, foundations, government entities and friends of the college in order to improve our college and community. 

In the past 10 years, we’ve raised more than $23.7 million in private gifts and grants to enhance the academic enterprise of the college. In particular, College Advancement provides funding for academic programs and facilities, faculty and student research, faculty development, endowed and non-endowed lectureships, academic scholarships, and student and faculty awards.

The Division of College Advancement is also responsible for the management of two 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations, the College at Oneonta Foundation and the SUNY Oneonta Alumni Association, and several advisory groups.
