"A Community Resource Linking Education, Research and Community Service"

The CECD is a research and problem-solving resource to the greater-Oneonta community with a focus on in-depth research and creative strategies to address challenges facing people, organizations and municipalities.

The Center and its collaborative relationships address such topics as downtown revitalization, strategic planning, economic impact analysis, public opinion, leadership development, tourism, and organization development.

Applied research has analyzed business recruitment, municipal consolidation, downtown revitalization, local tourism, strategic planning, employee satisfaction, and analysis of the local economy to inform public opinion.

Established in 1990 by Dr. Alan Donovan, President of SUNY College at Oneonta, the Center is part of the Division of College Advancement which works to strengthen the resources of the College by raising the sights of others.
