"A community resource linking teaching, scholarship and service"
The Center for Economic & Community Development (CECD) is an analysis and problem-solving resource to enhance the SUNY College at Oneonta and the surrounding region.
Projects seek to improve education attainment, public safety, social capital, health, public infrastructure, area median income and civic capacity. Our toolkit includes facilitation, issue analysis, and participatory inquiry.
The CECD does this by applying College resources to create mutually beneficial partnerships. The results are quality information on challenges facing people, organizations and municipalities; data-driven plans for change; and networks of community leaders. |
