Telephone Use Terms and Conditions

The College at Oneonta agrees to furnish an authorization code to be used for local and long distance telephone service subject to the following terms and conditions:

1.  The applicant agrees to pay for all calls made using the authorization code issued by the College.  Telecom charges are produced on the first business day of each month and include charges incurred during the previous month.  Charges due to Telecommunications are sent to the Office of Student Accounts and added to the student's college bill.

2.  Telecom rates are viewable on-line at www.oneonta.edu/admin/telecomm and are subject to change without notice.

3.  Fraudulent use of any communication service is a misdemeanor under the penal codes of New York and is punishable by up to one year imprisonment and/or a $1,000.00 fine. In addition, the College may assess a $100 fee.

4.  900 service and certain billable 800 numbers are blocked and are not available. If the College is billed for an 800 or 900 call, the applicant will be billed by the College and is responsible for the charges.

5.  It is the student's responsibility to notify the Registrar's Office when address information changes (i.e., permanent, local, or campus address).

6.  It is the student's responsibility to cancel his or her authorization code in writing, via the web at www.oneonta.edu/admin/telecomm, or in person (College ID is required). Failure to notify the Telecommunications Office results in continued responsibility.
