Forward voicemail messages to your college e-mail account

Our college voicemail system can forward incoming voicemail message to your college e-mail account. These forwarded voice message can be played from your e-mail account at the office, at home, or one various smart phones that can play audio wav files. This functionality is especially useful for employees who share a phone and have a voicemail mailbox that is part of a menu since the forwarding of voicemail is specific to your mailbox.

In order to forward voicemail to e-mail, your voicemail account must be set to allow forwarding by the Telecommunications Office. Click here to inform Telecommunications that you intend to use this feature and that we should allow forwarding.

Additional feature available with Voicemail Desktop Messaging:

In addition to having the ability to forward the actual voice message from voicemail to e-mail, the system has been upgraded with a feature that can send an SMS “text” message to your cell phone alerting you that a new voicemail message has been received. The system will “text” you with the caller ID of the number that left the message. Be advised that charges from your cell phone provider may apply depending on your cell phone service contract.

For more information on these services, please contact us via e-mail or via phone (ext 2577).
