ADJUNCT LECTURER

The Division of Economics and Business and the Department of Continuing Education is inviting applications for an academically or professionally qualified individual to teach two courses in Krasnoyarsk, Siberia, Russia, in June/July 2008. This is a temporary, part-time, non-tenure track position. Krasnoyarsk is a city of 950,000 in south central Siberia (see www.admkrsk.ru). Instruction is conducted as part of a transfer articulation agreement with the Siberian State Aerospace University in Krasnoyarsk. Fluency in Russian is not required. The College at Oneonta enrolls more than 5,800 students with 475 faculty and offers 69 undergraduate majors and 9 graduate programs. The student to faculty ratio is approximately 17:1. Compensation includes: Salary of $2,500 per course, housing and living expenses in Krasnoyarsk, air fare and ground transportation and visa expenses.

Duties: Teach Law 222 Business Law (legal environment of business) and Business 111 Introduction to Business.

Required Qualifications: JD degree with a record of scholarship in the field; teaching in a business program in the SUNY system OR a practicing attorney with current professional experience pertaining to the legal environment of business, including EEOC, environmental, antitrust, SEC and other regulatory environment subjects.

Preferred: Teaching in a business program in the SUNY system in a program that is AACSB accredited or seeking accreditation.
