DIVISION OF ECONOMICS & BUSINESS The Department of Economics, Finance, and Accounting at the SUNY College at Oneonta invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the field of economics beginning August 2008. This is a continuing position with an initial appointment of two years. Expectations include instruction, research, student advisement, college service and continuing professional development. The College at Oneonta enrolls more than 5,800 students with 475 faculty and offers 69 undergraduate majors and nine graduate programs. The student to faculty ratio is approximately 17:1. Duties: Teach undergraduate courses in principles of economics, intermediate economic theory, applied macroeconomics, and econometrics. Conduct research leading to publications in refereed journals. Required Qualifications: Earned doctorate degree (all-but-dissertation will be considered) in economics with a primary field in applied macroeconomics (e.g. forecasting, fiscal policy, monetary policy, term structure of interest rates); a secondary field in econometrics and demonstrated teaching ability. Preferred Qualifications: A record of published research in economics.
