HEADLINE #1: Hurricane Sandy is sure to go down as one of the most intense storms ever experienced by the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic, if not the worst storm ever for that region.  Let's take a look at some of the impacts that came associated with this storm:
- Storm officially made landfall as a 946mb low in Ocean City, NJ at 8pm EDT on Monday night
- Sandy broke the record for the largest hurricane ever in the Atlantic Basin.  It had tropical storm force winds extending up to 900 miles at times.
- Record storm surges all along the east coast, particularly along the NJ coast, New York City, and Long Island
- Wind gusts topped 90mph in places, including 90mph in Islip, NY
- Lowest pressure ever recorded in Atlantic City, Philadelphia, Harrisburg, Scranton, Trenton, and Baltimore
- Peak wind gust recorded here in Oneonta was 51 mph around 8:30 Monday night
- Snow totals of 2-3 feet of snow expected in West Virginia
- Storm totals are likely to be over 10 billion dollars, which would make it a top 5 most expensive disaster in the United States
