* Womyn's Alliance is a feminist student organization at SUNY Oneonta that meets every week in Hodgdon Instructional Resources Center (IRC, Room B21). Each week a particular topic is discussed, usually one that has been determined at the previous meeting. Current events and upcoming activities are also covered. Womyn's Alliance is not only a discussion group but a support group, a place where members can come for advice or to talk out a problem. * Sisters of Color International (SOCI) is an activist organization that brings together Women of Color in sisterhood, in mutual respect and open recognition of our hard-won selves. SOCI was founded at a national conference in Chicago in 1991 after a walk-out the previous year by the Women of Color Caucus of the National Women's Studies Association. Membership is open to all Women of Color who live in the United States: African-American, Asian-American and Pacific Islanders, Latina, Native-American, and International Women of Color. * Women's International League for Peace and Freedom (WILPF) challenges the assumption that the military budget cannot be cut, and raises the issue of human needs vs. military might through programs and events. They organize nationwide and in Canada. "People are fed up with this new world order, this contract on American values, hopes and dreams."
