  • GAP clothing, Wal Mart goods & Starbucks coffee: connections between local and international economies -- women as workers and consumers
  • Single mothers, step-fathers, lesbian & gay families: new patterns of family life and work
  • Sci-fi films, Barbie dolls, rap music, chick lit: representations of race, gender, and sexuality in popular culture
