Working With Wikis
 
Wiki 1.0
 This course is designed for those who wish to learn the basic operations of Wiki software. This course will cover what wiki's are conceptually, creating new wiki pages, formatting wiki pages, linking pages together to form a "site", integration of plug-ins and basic security (access control) to your wiki. This course will use the College’s wiki server (Mindtouch), but knowledge acquired is transferrable to other wiki platforms such as PBWiki. Prerequisite: Basic computer (PC or Mac) skills such as using a mouse, navigating through windows, and surfing the Internet. Familiarity with editing documents using software programs such as Word, Word Perfect, etc.

Wiki 2.0
 A more in-depth session that further discusses the tools and features in the MindTouch Enterprise Wiki service. In this course we will create, edit and share wiki space. Prerequisite: Basic computer (PC or Mac) skills such as using a mouse, navigating through windows, and surfing the Internet. Familiarity with editing documents using software programs such as Word, Word Perfect, etc; Completion of the introduction session Wiki 1.0.

Wiki 3.0
 Advanced wiki magic. In this session we will discuss the use of wiki markup tools, collaboration features, and the Microsoft Office integration options.
