To All College Faculty and Staff:
Due to changes in the demand for instructor-led classroom training, and an increase in the need for “just-in-time” training, the Technology Training Program will be changing the way that it offers technology training for College Faculty and Staff.
Starting in the summer of 2011, we will cease publication of the schedule of sessions. Instead, we will provide a listing of topics that we believe is comprehensive and can help to further the mission of the College. We will also continue to provide training on user-requested topics that may not be on our list as we can accommodate them.
Those wishing to pursue training opportunities should contact the Technology Training Office at 607-436-2871, or email Deb McClenon at mcclendl@oneonta.edu. We will then set up individual training at a date and time that is convenient for you. We will also continue to provide sessions for departments wishing to provide professional development opportunities on a regularly scheduled basis.
We feel that this fundamental change to the Technology Training Program will better address the training needs of our computing community, while providing much needed flexibility in the way that our training is offered.
