About the 4C5M Studio

4C5M Studio, co-founded by Ho Hon Leung (sociologist) and Raymond Lau (Zaha Hadid Architect, UK) , is a non-profit and independent research studio that promotes dialogues between research and practice from a multi- and inter-disciplinary approach to the understanding and improvement of urban / living space and social life.  The scope of focuses of this studio ranges from a single built form to a village, a city and a nation which is constantly impacted by multifaceted forces from rural and urban to global social, economic, and political developments.  The studio facilitates workshops, seminars, conferences, teaching, exhibitions, publications related to the studio’s mission.

4 Cs stand for Crisis Causes Consequences and Cure which are tools for analysis, and
5 Ms stand for Methodology, Medium, Multicultural, Making and Manifestation in execution of projects or solutions.  It is a way to connect theory and practice.
