HOW TO ARRANGE FOR A GROUP VISIT

From a third-grader as the class was being called together after a one-hour visit, "This is the fastest field trip I've ever been on."

A "group" may consist of a school class or several classes, or a scout troop, or a cluster of homeschoolers, or even a birthday party. We try to be inclusive and flexible. We can handle groups of up to 60 or so at one time, but 30 or 40 would be better.

To make arrangements for a visit outside our regular public hours, telephone the Center at (607) 436-2011. If you wish, you may also reach us by FAX, e-mail, or regular mail (addresses below), but wait for confirmation of the arrangements before showing up at the Center with your group.

Groups who wish to visit during our regular public hours, especially groups of about ten persons or more, should check with the Center beforehand to avoid possible conflicts with other groups. Smaller groups are welcome to come in during regular public hours without appointment, if sharing the Center with our usual mix of visitors is not a problem.

Group leaders are welcome to preview the Center either during the regular public hours (no appointment needed) or outside public hours by appointment.

While there is no fee for group visits, donations towards the Center's operating expenses are always welcome. Checks may be made out to SDC Fund, SUNY-Oneonta Foundation and mailed either to the Center or to SUNY-Oneonta Foundation, State College, Oneonta, NY 13820-4015. Donations to the SDC Fund are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
