An ode to a culinary institution that has server Binghamton, NY for over a century. To the devoted, the Spot provides a locus capable of linking the mundane and the significant. It is where a road crew can grab coffee before work and where a married couple can have an electric-candlelit dinner on their silver anniversary. The documentary explores the Spot as an analog to a church or temple - a place capable of providing community, continuity and ritual.
