The Psychology Department
offers a number of special opportunities that can enhance the educational
experience of its majors. These experiences also are valuable additions to your resume when you prepare to enter a career or apply to graduate school.
| Research |
Working with a faculty member on a research project can help you learn more about the field and provide valuable preparation for graduate school.
|
| Teaching Assistantships |
Becoming a TA allows you to work closely with an individual faculty member, enhance your knowledge of the subject, and see the educational process from a different perspective. |
| Internships |
Internships allow you to earn college credit while getting real-life pre-professional experience that goes beyond the classroom. They are an excellent way to explore and learn more about potential career fields. Students can devote anywhere from a few to many hours a week to an internship, and earn from 1 to 15 credits. |
| Clubs and Organizations |
There are many clubs and organizations on campus that can enhance your
college experience and add a valuable dimension to your education. Two
that are especially valuable for Psychology majors are the Psychology
Club and Psi Chi. Read more on the Clubs
and Organizations page. |
