Philosophy of ReligionExtra Credit
To encourage study beyond the range of the standard assignments, I will award up to 5 points (one-half letter grade) extra credit for successful completion of outside research projects. Typically this will involve reading additional material and making a report on that material to me or the class, but I will consider alternative projects as well (including group projects).Students wishing to take advantage of this opportunity should submit a one-page prospectus detailing the study as well as the method of demonstrating successful completion of the study (paper, oral presentation, etc.). If approved, I will signify such approval in writing together with an indication of the number of points that the study may reasonably be expected to earn. Students may undertake as many projects as desired, but will be awarded no more than a total of 5 extra credit points.
